Rangers Hire Chris Young as General Manager

The Texas Rangers announced the hiring of Chris Young as General Manager yesterday. Young most recently served as Senior Vice President of On-Field Operations for MLB.

The former starting pitcher played 13 seasons in the major leagues, 2 of which occurred with the Rangers. Young debuted in the bigs with the Rangers, and he will do the same for his first gig as a General Manager. At 41 years old and having played in the majors as recently as 2017, Young has completed a rapid jump from player to General Manager.
